| Looking forward to the 2nd annual Pond Tour For Hospice. Last year we visited some truly beautiful properties that inspired me to install my very own pond. Can't wait to see what is in store for us this year and spend the weekend strolling through little vignettes of heaven :) |

| 2011 Pond Tour Committee is conceptualizing an expanded tour, covering the entire Golden Horseshoe area. We are seeking pond owners in the GHA (Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Stoney Creek, and the QEW Niagara corridor all the way to Niagara). If you are interested in participating as a host site, please send me an e-mail. |

It was truly an outstanding weekend. Thank you to all of the pond owners, sponsors, partners and volunteers for all the time and energy you put into helping make this event so successful. We couldn't have done it without you.
The weekend weather was perfect for getting out and wondering through all the lovely properties and seeing a variety of styles of ponds and plantings and garden designs. Each unique and filled with personal touches of those who tend to them.
Thank you to all who ventured out to the various locations and shared your love of water gardens!!!
A special thank you to Debbie for inspiring me to get involved with this project. You worked tirelessly to make this happen. Your love for Aunt Jean and your passion for Ponds was evident to all involved.
I feel blessed to have been a part of this project and the efforts to give back to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice a little of what they have given to Aunt Jean and our family.
with my heartfelt gratitude

What a wonderful weekend! Thanks to everyone who participated, Particular thanks to the homeowners for dedicating an entire weekend to this event. Many prospective pond owners took the tour to learn about pondkeeping and get ideas for their own properties. It was fun and very interesting. We met some wonderful people who I hope will become our freinds. Despite some cloudbursts, overall the weather was very cooperative at least in our area. (I hear the rain was more pervasive out in Haldimand county ).
We welcome your suggestions for enhancing the tour next year! Please add your comments to this guestbook, or contact me directly via e-mail |

| I can't wait!! It's an event I look forward to enjoying on both days. You have done a terrific job putting this event together and should be comended for taking the time and effort to make this wonderful event happen. I am certain all the people who have passed through the Bob Kemp Hospice either as a loved one, or one who lost a loved one, are proud of you. |

I think the tour is a great idea. Love some of the pictures of the ponds on the tour information page. Hopefully www.cropcricket.com can be helpful to your organization and the people that support it. |

| This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is considering a pond of their own, to see a wide variety of options, and talk to the pond keepers and hear first hand how they FEEL about their pond, and to get advice on construction and maintenance. |

What a wonderful idea! Apart from the fact that this tour is going to be a pleasure for anyone to take in I cannot think of a better way for someone who is contemplating the designing and installing of thier own pond to discover all the different ways it can be done. These pond parcipitants are showing us that with a little imagination, a strong desire and a willingness to create something singular and special just what can be done.
This is not a diagram or information in a book but first hand viewing...And being that you cannot beat the real thing I am really looking forward to this tour.

The pond tour weekend is fast approaching and I know people are anxiously awaiting ticket sales. Don't miss out on seeing the wonderful properties on the tour map or your opportunity to win one of the fantastic prizes offered.
I can tell you from my early pariticpation in the planning stages of this project, the first annual Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice Pond Tour, this is going to be one of the best events of the season and one that people will look forward to attending year after year.
Whether you are thinking of putting in a pond of any scale, wanting ideas for your existing pond or simply enjoy the beauty and tranquility of ponds and gardens, there is something for everyone to be found on the tour route.
Enjoy and I look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions after the July 10/11 weekend. |
